Keeping The Walls From Falling Down

It can be beautiful and fabulous
Ugly and tragic trying to keep the walls
From falling down

Love is only meant for some
When you feel sad, alone and lonely
I’m be the rock you can cry on
The one that keeps the walls from falling down

It’s okay if you want to party all night long
Asking strangers to your bed
I’ll be there, be you’re conscious
And when the alcohol runs out
Or can no longer dull the pain
I’ll be there to bring it home
The one that keeps the walls from falling down

I’ll hold you back from the storm
When things get too hard, when life
Becomes unbearable, I’ll be there
To smooth the rough edges
It’s okay.
I’ll be the one that keeps the walls from falling down

You feel numb, but
I can reach the pain you no longer feel
Hold on and lose your fears
I can keep the walls from falling down

I can bring you peace,
In your time of need
be your friend, your confidant
The voice of reason against your wrath
I can keep the walls from falling down

The peace of the cut, the thin line of blood
What bizarre bliss staring at the ugly marks
Perhaps love isn’t meant for some,
but you were the rock that I could rely on
You kept the walls from falling down

It can be beautiful and fabulous
Ugly and tragic trying to keep the walls
From falling down
